About WikiSofa

WikiSofa lists sofas for the home: couches, loveseats, sectionals, sleeper sofas, reclining sofas and modular sets. Each page puts what a store listing states about a sofa beside the price that listing showed when we last looked, so two sofas can be set side by side before anyone commits to the one that has to fit through the front door.

Where the details on a page come from

A seat count, a layout, a fabric or a reclining mechanism appears here only when the seller's own title says so. If a title is silent about the fabric or the number of seats, that cell stays empty; we do not look at a photograph and decide. A width or depth the seller gives is the seller's measurement, so measure your doorway, hallway and stairwell against it before ordering.

No one here has sat on them

Nobody on this team has assembled a sectional, carried a sofa up a stairwell or slept on a pull-out mattress for a week. There are no photographs of our own, no star ratings and no verdicts on how a cushion holds its shape after a year, because those would be made up. Delivery, assembly, returns and warranty belong to the seller, and the store's listing is where to confirm them.

Prices and their age

A price you see is the one the store showed when it was read, and the time of that reading is printed with it. A price too old to stand behind is taken down instead of being left up as if it were current.

Guides and Learn

Guides rank sofas only by the details their listings state and by price. The Learn section unpacks words such as seat depth, frame wood, spring type and fabric grade, citing public agency and standards pages rather than any seller. The home page shows how many sofas are covered today.
